Child Care Center: New Staff Orientation Training

Center directors/assistant directors will be introduced to a professional development series for new staff that provides a basic overview of important aspects of working in a child care center. This self-guided instructional format includes a DVD and workbook with 30 units. Each completed unit is reviewed by the director/designated supervisor for feedback and approval. The new staff person who completes the 30 units can submit their portfolio for review and earn 16 professional development hours upon approval of the reviewer. NSO participants will receive a certificate for 6-hours of training at the conclusion of the day's workshop. The training has also been approved for continuing education hours for the National Administrator Credential. Contact the Clinton County Extension Office to register - 563-659-5125.
